Our story
Baking since 1989
Roni's began in 1989 as a bagel bakery in West Hampstead, opened by Roni Avital: authentic bagels and Jewish baked goods, made the artisan way. Fresh, honest baking soon made the bagels and cakes famous well beyond north London, and the name Roni's was born.

Our bakeries over the years
- 1989The first Roni's Bagel Bakery opens in West Hampstead.
- 2011Roni's Bagel Bakery & Café opens here in Belsize Village, bringing the bakery to more people while keeping it homely.
- 2013Hampstead follows: one more step towards our goal of “giving it GREAT to everyone, everywhere”.
What we make
Fresh hot bagels, breads and pastries, cakes, our own breakfasts and salads, and good coffee. Alongside them, the food many of us grew up with: borekas, shakshuka, latkes and schnitzel. It is all made the way it always has been, fresh, and we would rather do simple things well than complicated things quickly.
Who it is for
Everyone. A quick coffee on the way to work, a long breakfast with the family at the weekend, a table for friends catching up. Eat in, order at your table, or order ahead online and collect. Regulars and first-timers get the same welcome.
For the moments that matter
Birthdays, kiddushim, shivas, office mornings and long family tables. We make celebration cakes and platters to order, with 48 hours' notice. Something special or short notice? Call us on 020 7998 1477.
What we care about
- Fresh, clean baking, every day.
- The homely feel of a real neighbourhood bakery.
- The best service we can give, to every customer.
- Being honest about allergens: just ask us.
